can you meet the animals up close?

Yes! Unique to the Mystic Aquarium, its animal encounters programs allow visitors to get up-close and personal with most of the aquarium's popular animals. Through private animal encounters, guests can go behind-the-scenes to meet the African penguin colony, get waist-deep to touch the beluga whales or gain exclusive access to the harbor seals. The cost of animal encounters is not included with price of general admission.

Is there dining at the Mystic aquarium?

Located in the Aquarium, Penguins Café offers a family-friendly menu with pizza, burgers, chicken tenders, fries and lots more. If you're looking for something a healthier, Penguins Café also serves delicious salads, wraps and healthy snacks. Indoor and seasonal outdoor seating is available.
